Utah Approved Cigarette/RYO Manufacturers & Brands

This directory lists all tobacco product manufacturers and their cigarette or roll-your-own (RYO) tobacco product brand families that have provided current, timely, and accurate annual certifications required to be in compliance with Utah law. This list is called the Utah Cigarette Directory. All cigarettes and roll-your-own tobacco products and their manufacturers must be included on the Utah Cigarette Directory before said products may be lawfully distributed, sold, offered for sale, or possessed for sale in the state. Products not appearing on this directory are prohibited, may not be stamped, and are subject to confiscation as contraband.

Even though this directory lists a product lawful for sale, the state of Utah may:

1. Seek payment under the Master Settlement Agreement,
2. Enforce deposits into qualified escrow accounts,
3. Remove manufacturers or brands from this directory, or
4. Pursue any other legal action necessary to enforce Utah tobacco law.

Fire-safe Certification (FSC)

Brands without an asterisk (*) are not fire-safe certified and not legal to be sold in Utah. Penalties for the sale of cigarettes without fire-safe certification are up to $10,000 per wholesale transaction and range from $500 to $5,000 per retail sale transaction. See Utah Code Ann. § 53-7-406.

A listed brand includes all styles of that brand unless otherwise indicated. For information on whether a specific style of a brand family is fire-safe certified, please refer to the fire marshal's listing of fire-safe certified cigarettes. Brands  manufactured by non-participating manufacturers which require special reporting and the NPM stamp to be affixed are denoted in the NPM column.
