HB 271 Petroleum Storage Tank Trust Fund Amendments

Effective Date January 1, 2007

This bill modifies requirements for participating in the petroleum storage tank environmental assurance program. This bill requires owners and operators of underground petroleum storage tanks that elect to participate in the environmental assurance program to include all of their tanks under the Petroleum Storage Tank Trust Fund; allows the executive secretary of the Board of Solid and Hazardous Waste to waive certain testing requirements; clarifies requirements for participation in the environmental assurance program by owners and operators who have previously elected not to participate; and makes technical corrections.
