The Utah State Tax Commission has verified that our systems are secure and not affected by the Heartbleed bug. Any data that is securely sent to us or that we send out will not be compromised by this bug. We continue to monitor developments and stay in close contact with other agencies and organizations that interact with our systems.

Filing Status Guidelines for Same-sex Couples

Same-sex couples who are eligible to file a joint federal income tax return and who elect to file jointly, may also file a joint 2013 Utah Individual Income Tax return if they were married as of the close of the tax year. See this Tax Notice for more information.
