$   June (and early July) net collections were based on May economic activity.  These net collections indicate that:
1) State sales taxes were up 1 percent for the month, better than expected,
2) Individual Income tax - Refunds were up 1.4 percent, from $17.5 million to $17.7 million, higher than expected,
3) Individual Income tax - Withholding (payroll) tax was up 7.6 percent for the month, better than expected,
4) Corporate franchise taxes were up 3.1 percent, better than expected,
5) Motor fuel tax was up 18 percent, better than expected
